![]() God is a crazy good artist, and it shows. The vibe of the song is so chill it reminded me of that happy feeling you get on a road trip, discovering new places and just reflecting on the beauty of nature. I think I had been always dreaming of shooting in the mountains of Alberta, and the idea of a girl journeying into this magical land by herself felt like the proper backdrop for this music video. Directed by Christopher Evans, the video perfectly translates the musical bliss to picture by showing a sole ice-skater (portrayed by Disney On Ice regular Kate Gibson) embracing the serenity of solitude.Ĭhristopher Evans: “For this video, I wanted to pitch something different that we haven’t really seen before. Led by the gorgeous atmosphere and soothing rhythms of Tinlicker and Helsloot’s collaborative effort, the music video of ‘Because You Move Me’ ties the wonder-laden sounds to equally stunning images of wintry landscapes surrounded by the snow-capped mountains of Alberta, Canada. Watch the official music video of Tinlicker & Helsloot – Because You Move Me And to celebrate this notable achievement, Tinlicker and Helsloot have just released the official music video of ‘Because You Move Me’. Fast-forward a few years and the record has clocked up nearly 30 million plays across streaming platforms and over half a million Shazams in 2020 alone, making it one of the label’s most successful releases since its launch about five years back. Such is the case with Tinlicker & Helsloot’s ‘Because You Move Me’, a brilliant track released on Armada Electronic Elements in the summer of 2017. The song was officially released on July 15th 2022 through Profil de Face.Sometimes, it can take a bit of time for the world to fully see a record for the absolute gem it is. The official release of the song was first teased by Lewis OfMan via Instagram on July 8th, where it was reposted by Jepsen to her Instagram story. Although some details were incorrect, the rumour was confirmed by industry insiders in late June when it was revealed the song would be a collaboration titled Move Me. On June 13th 2022, an online rumour stated that Jepsen would be releasing a new single on July 15th, with accompanying remixes by Lewis OfMan. Move Me was originally written by Lewis after meeting somebody at a party whilst living in Florence, 'I remember these insane blue eyes, but destiny wasn’t okay for us to pursue each other, we were stuck in our own lives and couldn’t mix them.' After writing the song, Lewis had a writing session with Carly where he showed it to her - 'she instantly felt the song and sent me recordings of her beautiful voice and some additional ideas – it just made so much sense to do this duet together, it’s such a beautiful encounter. Our relationship was Zoom-ed quite fast and we became close friends and these sessions almost felt like a shared diary, where we were sharing our stories.' On working with Jepsen, OfMan explained, 'Carly & I met and worked in a really modern way, I received a call from her and I was honoured that she liked my music in such a genuine way. In September 2020, Carly states she was first introduced to OfMan's music by hearing it in a friend's playlist - 'I kept pausing at the same track of Lewis’s, thinking 'this is really good.' The world was upside down so there was extra time to really listen to music and then ask questions like 'who made this and how can we be friends?' The song was written over Zoom by the pair between September 2020 and sometime in 2021, during the development of Jepsen's fifth studio album The Loneliest Time. Move Me was is the first collaboration between Lewis OfMan and Carly Rae Jepsen.
